About Ashlie
I’ve been working with children and adults with Autism and other neurodivergent diagnoses for 27 years in a variety of settings. My experience ranges from creating disability-friendly summer camps and afterschool programs for the YMCA to a self-contained special education teacher. As a special educator, I strive to help build a home-school connection. If the student is hearing the same wording, working on the same skills and there is a consistency between home and school, skills are acquired quicker and retained. I am also the mother of an adult on the autism spectrum.
