About Joanne
My name is Joanne, I am a 22-year-old master's student at NUIG in international business law.
I have lived my whole life in France and have moved abroad to pursue my studies in Ireland.
I genuinely enjoy seeing students go from being hesitant to confidently expressing their ideas, this is why I wish to continue teaching here.

I tend to concentrate on spoken language and task-based learning, therefore emphasizing the use of language to accomplish communicative objectives, reflecting how French is used in real life. Practicing communication is the best way to learn and the best way to gain more confidence.
I try to base my lessons on what the student has been learning in class to then expand on topics that the student is interested in.
The length of the lesson depends on the student's age and interest in French, under the age of 10 I avoid two-hour lessons.
I have been teaching English as a foreign language for 2 years in France and now living in Ireland, I wish to continue teaching and concentrate on teaching French as a foreign language.
