Math graduate and physics Ph.D. with four years experience teaching high school math and physics

Alana is a family friend and I have known her my entire life. She has been a mentor to me in school and life. She tutored me while I was struggling in a class and helped me to understand concepts that even my teacher could not. She was very patient and was able to break things down in a way I could understand. Along with her with her academic knowledge, she is incredibly kind, logical, humorous, and caring.

Alana was terrific with my daughter who has ADHD. In addition to tutoring her on the content (both physics and calculus) she worked with her on a work/study plan that my daughter was able to follow. As a result, she caught up on missed assignments and passed both AP exams. Alana was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and effective. She met my daughter where she was at and made the tutoring sessions enjoyable. My daughter actually looked forward to them.
