About Lily
I am currently studying French alongside Mathematics at university. Initially, I struggled with French and therefore can understand how it feels for you if you don't know what you're doing. Fortunately, I had outstanding tutoring that not only saved my grades, but also ignited a passion for French so strong that I have decided to study it at university. On several occasions, I have been able to spread my knowledge to younger students in the school.

From tutoring, I learned that the way that most students learn languages in school is wrong; it does not challenge them enough to retain the information to use in their exams. Therefore, doing fun activities that encourage long-term memory are ways that I teach French. For example, playing an adaptation of snakes and ladders with questions on each tile that they have to answer in French, listening exercises that build up in difficulty, singing ver conjugations using popular songs.

Details
My rates may vary depending on the level of French required as it becomes harder to find better resources as students progress. Sessions should be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance and I should be given a notice of such sessions at least 48 hours in advance.
