About Tommy
Hi! My name is Tommy Connolly and I am a second year Maths science student studying in UCC and living in Cork. I have always had a fascination with maths and a love for teaching. I have competed in maths and physics olympiads, placing 2nd in Europe in EUSO 2019. I hope to spark a love of the subject in a student through charismatic, passionate teaching and a fresh perspective.

Lessons are taught with the goal of understanding the fundamentals of maths and abstract problem solving, equipping the student with the tools to tackle anything that may appear on the exam paper. This is achieved through example, drill and generalisation; a pattern which increases the value of time spent learning.

I had Tommy for maths grinds for Leaving Cert and i could not recommend him enough. Tommy taught me to actually understand the questions first which was a method i greatly benefited from. He was patient and took his time explaining ensuring i was confident in the material.
