About Níosa

I am currently studying Biological and Geographical Sciences at Maynooth University, having achieved 545 points in my Leaving Certificate, including a H1 in Geography. I have a strong academic foundation in the subject and a clear understanding of what is required to achieve top grades.

Having completed the Leaving Certificate recently, I am very familiar with the current syllabus, exam structure and marking schemes. I understand how Geography answers are assessed and the importance of structure, key terminology and exam technique in securing high marks.

As a university student studying Geography at degree level, I have developed a deeper understanding of both physical and human geography, along with strong analytical and research skills. I aim to bring this clarity and structure into my tutoring.

I am organized, reliable and professional in my approach, and I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident and capable.

My lessons are structured, exam-focused and tailored to each individual student’s needs.

Teaching Method & Techniques

I focus on ensuring students understand key concepts clearly before applying them to exam questions.

In lessons, I:

Break down complex topics into clear, manageable explanations

Use past exam questions to reinforce learning

Teach structured answer techniques based on marking schemes

Emphasise key terminology and exam timing

Identify weak areas and strengthen them step-by-step

I strongly believe that mastering exam technique is just as important as understanding the theory.

Typical Lesson Length

Lessons are typically 60 minutes. Longer revision sessions (90 minutes) can be arranged before mocks or final exams.
