About Jasmine
I'm a trilingual student currently studying Architecture at McGill University. I’ve discovered a true love for teaching, especially with children between the ages of 5 and 10. Many of the students I work with are either newcomers to Quebec in classe d’accueil or simply children who need a little extra support in French, English, or Math.
I bring strong academic achievements to my tutoring, including scoring over 92% in sciences throughout high school, being named to the Dean’s List and Honors List during CEGEP, and maintaining a 3.8 GPA out of 4 at McGill. Beyond my grades, what truly sets me apart is my attentive and patient approach. I listen carefully to each student’s unique needs and challenges, customizing lessons that help them build confidence and succeed.

In our sessions, I combine structure with creativity. We usually start with a short, familiar activity to build confidence, then focus on a specific learning goal ( like writing a few sentences, understanding a math concept, or practicing pronunciation). I often use visual aids, simple games, and short stories to keep lessons fun and age-appropriate. I always tailor the work to target their weaker areas with multiple exercises, and I assign light homework to reinforce the lesson before our next class.
My approach is calm, caring, and personalized. I believe kids learn best when they feel safe and supported - especially if they’re shy, overwhelmed, or learning a new language. I adapt each lesson to their level and needs, and I pay close attention to both their academic progress and emotional well-being. Whether they’re transitioning out of classe d’accueil or just need an extra boost, I meet them where they are.
The lessons I give are perfect for children who are looking for strong and supportive teaching to reach their potential.
