About Davis

I am an accomplished educator with over 12 years of experience as a tutor and teacher in a broad variety of subjects. I was also a seven-time TA at one of the top 10 Mechanical Engineering graduate programs in the U.S., teaching everything from freshman-level design courses to a capstone HVAC lab class.

I am a supportive and patient instructor with an infectious enthusiasm about all things learning. I meet each student where they currently are, and I work with them to build the skills that will take them to where they want to be!

About the lesson

Engineering degrees are some of the most difficult university degrees to earn: the workload is very dense, and you're often trying to learn material from multiple distinct fields of science and mathematics at once. One missed class can be all that it takes to fall behind.

I am a resource for any mechanical engineering student who wants to excel in their undergraduate education. I offer assignment assistance, exam review, skills training (e.g., CAD, intro programming), and impromptu "office hours" - whatever works best for your schedule and learning style. I can also show you tools and strategies to "work smarter, not harder" on your assignments so you can reclaim some of your precious sleep and social time.

Trying to get university-level tutoring on a university student budget? Bring some friends! My price per hour stays the same for groups of up to four students at a time, so you're welcome to split the cost with your classmates and attend a session together.

Deadly! I've only had one session with Davis so far, but it was incredibly helpful and I'm planning on scheduling another session! He explained things thoroughly and was very prepared for the session, and he tied the theoretical and practical applications of Fluid Mechanics together in a way that made sense. I definitely recommend him as a tutor, especially if you're nervous about your first tutoring session, because he makes it feel less intimidating!
