About Jay
I studied my Mech Eng Degree at BCU before, during, and after COVID. During my time there I learnt a lot about the university experience and found that there was much more to it than studying, yet studying was what I was paying for! It was a juggle balancing a fun, active lifestyle with studying one of the most difficult degrees out there but the result was me seeing life from a holistic perspective, and finding a lifestyle that didn't feel forced. Once you master your lifestyle you'll master your degree for sure! As part of my service I'll be your mentor too and ensure you stay on track while still having room to party!

During your degree you'll have several modules to tackle, all with overlapping deadlines. Sound familiar? Organisation is key! The first thing we will do is make a tracker for all of your assignments to make sure you don't put all your effort into one assignment while another gets capped for submission! Next we'll have a chat to address your strengths and weaknesses to decide what to prioritise and then we'll get to work. I'm great at breaking down concepts, while being patient enough to explain them in different ways to help you understand (I've been there, it clicks when it clicks, it's just a matter of time). Being my student, my priority will be you, then your Engineering degree, because balance is key to a wholesome life at University. Start with me in first year and have someone there to hold you accountable today!
