About Virginia

I am a Health Administrator and Medical Biller and Coder, I have taught in a class room setting for Medical Billing and Coding. I enjoy teaching others; I started tutoring while in-between jobs both working and tutoring part time until it became full time. I am very excited to meet new people, teach, and network as it helps everyone.

I enjoy reading on psychology, and all medical updates that help me stay on top of all changes in the medical field. I also have done volunteering both in and out of the medical field in order to help the community.

About the lesson

Hello, my name is Virginia! I graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Health Administration, and Applied A.S. in Medical Billing and Coding graduating Cum Laude.

I have taught the medical billing and coding program for 3 years in a structured and accredited class room setting. I have 10+ years’ experience in the field of medical billing and coding, anatomy, physiology, and medical insurance. I have developed an educational curriculum for medical billing and coding students.

I began tutoring by helping other student’s anatomy and physiology classes, and I was asked by my college to help out in the tutor department for anatomy. I found I very much enjoyed helping others grasp the knowledge they needed in order to move forward in their scholastic career. I received certification in study skills.

I like to be engaged fully with each student this allows for a much better understanding and for a more enjoyable experience for the student and myself.

I have provided instruction to both students privately and online, meeting them and instructing on the following breakdowns such as Anatomy, Medical Terminology, Patient cases to proper Dx codes, Procedural codes using ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS, the medical billing process, how to avoid billing and coding errors which is key to a clean submission and proper payment to name a few. I also provide instruction for reading, writing, essays, power points and instruction on how to use power point, spread sheets, and much more.

I provide step by step instruction on all subjects making sure the student has a solid understanding of the material at hand before proceeding forward. I enjoy breaking each step down thus allowing for the student to grasp and understand more fully which allows for a less stressful classroom experience.

Details

There is a cancellation fee of $25.00 for every session that is cancelled without a 24 hr notice, or a no show.

There is an additional 20.00 charge for travel fee to students over 10 miles to student.
