About Julien

Hey! I'm Julien, a first-year medical student at UWA, offering MMI tutoring for 2027 intake.

Like many, I didn't have an incredible GPA/GAMSAT combo score. I believe my interview was what ultimately secured my place, and I was fortunate enough to receive a non-bonded offer from my top preference university in my first application cycle.

The communication and reflective skills I developed throughout the application process also translated to a 4th quartile CASPer and a score of 77 in GAMSAT Section 2 (99th %ile).

I know firsthand how stressful and uncertain the interview is. I think many applicants underestimate the MMI, forgetting it’s the heaviest weighted component of the final application. Having received MMI tutoring myself, and with over 3 years of tutoring experience, I appreciate how helpful it can be to have someone guide you through the process.

About the lesson

Prepping for the interview can feel overwhelming, especially at the start, and this was something I struggled with. However, when I broke concepts down, built from first principles and practiced consistently, I realized a strong interview performance was much more achievable than I thought.

My goal is to make the process feel more manageable and help you approach interview day with confidence. Sessions may cover common station types, interview structure, communication skills, ethical scenarios, and full mock interviews with feedback.

All sessions are conducted online, as this allows us to practice in an environment which most closely simulates interview day. I'm also happy to answer general questions about the application process along the way.
