About Sidney
I have two Associates, one in Science and the other in Applied Sciences and Biotechnology. I am a current student at the University of Texas MD Anderson School of Health Professions. I am a part of the Phi Theta Kappa Academic Honor Society. I have tutored elementary up to college students in various subjects and levels, such as English, Math, and Science. I also frequently help with essay planning, writing and editing.

My teaching method is highly based on the student as far as how to approach a subject, but I can say that I am blunt and honest while teaching, and I expect the same back. I always want my students to be able to stop me and ask questions, or tell me to explain in a different way if my first walk through doesn't make sense. In a typical tutoring session I like to start with asking if the student had any particular questions or issues from the last time I had seen them. Then I like to go over the decided topic, whether that subject is following along with a school class schedule or something that the student needs to play catch up in. While teaching I believe in examples and learning through doing. I often stop to demonstrate a point, ask questions of my student, or have a student work a problem with me. After this section I help with homework or additional examples and practice leading up to a test in a school class. When I work with students on essay writing, I am very invested and I go through each step if needed. I am willing to work with students from the planning and research stages through several drafts and detailed and intensive editing and review.
