About Lily

I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Southampton, hoping to be a paediatric consultant or a surgeon in the future.

I have been a volunteer leader with Girlguiding for the past 5 years, so I have lots of experience working with young people of all ages, and through becoming a Peer Educator I have developed my teaching strategies. I have also worked at a children's shoe shop for the past 3 years, strengthening my communication with all ages and teamwork and leadership skills.

Academic achievements:
- GCSEs: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Literature, English Language, Maths, German, Art, Design Technology, History - grades 9 9 9 8 8 8 8 8 8 7 respectively.
- A-Levels: Biology, Chemistry, English Literature - grades A* A B respectively.
- EPQ: grade A*
- Gold Biology Olympiad, Silver Cambridge Chemistry Challenge, Bronze Chemistry Olympiad
- Received three medical school offers
- Currently studying Undergraduate Medicine (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) 5 year course at the University of Southampton.

About the lesson

I am a University student offering tutoring for all ages. Sessions available online or in-person. I have experience with children of all ages, and am DBS checked and first-aid trained.

I tailor my sessions to each individual student, working on the topics they struggle with most. Each session will contain a mixture of explaining content and practising with questions to secure their understanding. At the end of each session, I will ask the student (or parent) which areas they would like me to cover next, allowing me to prepare an in-depth lesson to improve their understanding. I am friendly and approachable, so students can ask me any questions!

I am comfortable tutoring most subjects for school years 0-9, as well as many GCSE and A-Level subjects. Subjects I can cover:
- English - any ages, primary to A-Level
- Maths - primary and early secondary
- Biology - any ages, primary to A-Level
- Chemistry - any ages, primary to A-Level
- Physics - primary to GCSE
- History - secondary and GCSE
- Art or DT - GCSE
- Handwriting, phonics, numeracy
- University application support
