About Alison

Hello, I am currently completing a Bachelor of Psychology (Honors) and have a strong interest in helping children develop confidence and effective learning habits. My time studying in Potsdam taught me how to organize learning carefully, from working with textbooks and structured notes to creating revision cards that support memory and understanding. These skills now shape how I support students in their own studies. I bring many years of experience living and working in Germany and remain closely connected to the language and culture. I am also a passionate language learner myself and am currently studying Mandarin and Italian, which helps me understand the challenges students face when learning a new language. My approach is calm, structured, and encouraging, with a focus on steady progress and building confidence.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to help children feel confident in German. A key technique I use is to create clear formula sheets and practise them regularly, so methods soon become familiar and dependable. For beginners, I show how to condense theory into short, well-structured notes that can later be transferred onto study cards, making it easier to remember and apply key ideas with confidence. As students gain confidence, we explore a variety of engaging themes that help expand vocabulary and understanding — from stories and everyday situations to the wider world around them, always suited to their age and interests.
