About Sian
Siân Davies BMus (Hons), MMus, PGDip, is a Welsh mezzo-soprano, singing teacher and conductor. Her studies at the Royal Northern College of Music were generously supported by a Sybil Tutton Opera Award, The Ryan Davies Memorial Fund, The Annie Ridyard Scholarship, Alice Orrell and A&N Kendall Award and Riga Heesom Award.
Siân’s recent highlights include: Chorus in Savonlinna Opera Festival 2025, Young Artist at Buxton International Festival 2024, 5 in Capsule (David Bicarregui), Bobylikha in The Snow Maiden (Rimsky-Korsakov), Requiem (Ligeti) with Edvard Grieg Vokalensemble and RNCM Chamber Choir at the BBC Proms, Street Chorus and Blues Singer in Mass (Bernstein) at the Bridgewater Hall and performing with Sir Stephen Hough.
Siân has worked with choirs in Wales and the North of England. Recent engagements as a soloist include Bach Cantatas, Nelson Mass (Haydn), Requiem (Fauré), Hear My Prayer (Mendelssohn), and Magnificat RV611 (Vivaldi).
Siân enjoys teaching singing and conducting. She is an Associate Choral Leader for the Diocese of Manchester in collaboration with Saint Martin-in-the-Fields, Choir Director at Holy Innocents church in Fallowfield and Musical Director of Vocal Sounds.

Lessons will be tailored to you and your goals. I teach pop, musical theatre and classical styles. I draw from knowledge developed during my master of music in Performance and Vocal Pedagogy to create a comfortable and friendly learning environment with a focus on healthy and efficient vocalisation. My core ethos is that: most of all, singing should bring joy!

Deadly! Sian is friendly and puts you at ease. She is brilliant at explaining the techincal changes needed to create a lovely vocal sound and she makes her lessons fun. Im looking forward to more sessions together!
