About Mikayla

I grew up in a Jamaican home where looking after your hair was a way of life. With a mum as a hairdresser, I was destined to get into something hair-related. Though I'm not a hairdresser, I decided to go into hair braiding and have never looked back. With over 20 years' experience in hair braiding, I've decided to continue braiding clients' hair and teaching along the way. You only need one or two lessons to learn each style and that's a guarantee. You will grasp the concept after I've coached you. So go ahead and book your first lesson.

About the lesson

I have over 20 years' experience in hair braiding and it will be my pleasure to pass on this knowledge to you. You can learn any of these techniques: * Box braids *Knotless braids *Rope twists *Cornrows/Stitch Braids Learn a new skill today. You won't be disappointed!

It was such a pleasure having you for your first braiding lesson today! You came with a positive attitude, listened carefully, and showed great patience while learning the fundamentals.

You did really well with sectioning practice and quickly picked up the basic cornrow technique.

With continued practice, I can see your confidence and technique developing beautifully. I'm excited to see your progress in future lessons and help you build your skills even further.

Keep practising your parting and plaits, and remember that consistency is key. You're off to a wonderful start!
