About Sylvia
Spending 13 years in the studio has shown me exactly how different learners approach the keys. I have taught 233 students throughout my career so far.
My primary focus is helping adults and teens master the basics of piano alongside a bit of flair. It is a rewarding process to watch someone move from hesitant notes to confident playing. I combine my MMus and BM background with a structured method to ensure steady progress.
You will get the hang of hand independence and scales faster than you expect. Let us get started on the music you actually want to play.

It helps to go slowly, and frankly, sometimes you just need to hear yourself back to understand where the rhythm slips. I record a short playback of every single session for you to keep. This allows you to review the lesson at home at your own speed. As someone with a MMus and BM, I make sure the theory stays practical.
