About Balsam
I am a Monash University graduate, and I recently completed my Master's in Applied Economics and Econometrics, with a focus on Development Economics. I am from the Maldives and have resided in Melbourne for almost two years. People around me would describe me as empathetic and supportive, and I strongly believe these traits make me a good tutor. I am an inquisitive person and enjoy engaging in scintillating and fruitful conversations.

My approach to teaching involves understanding the level at which the student is currently at, and what they are trying to achieve. Following this, I develop a personalized study plan catered to their needs, and learning abilities. My lessons commonly run for 1 or 2 hours, and this is decided based on the student's attention span and availability. I have experience teaching students who are 5–18 years old. What makes my approach to teaching unique is that I ensure that learning is enjoyable, without compromising on effectiveness or the attainment of the learning objectives that have been set.
