About Lucy
I have been teaching Mandarin in the UK since 2010. At present I have two students learning Chinese to GCSE, who are sitting their exam this year. I am not only teaching Chinese grammar, vocabulary and characters, I will also be assessing two writing and speaking exam works for each student. I have another two pupils learning to YCT standard ; one, who has achieved distinction in earlier exams, is going to take the YCT level 3 exam this year. The other just started learning YCT level 1 this year. I also have one pupil learning HSK standard since last year, who is hoping to sit the level 4 exam next year.
I worked in a Grammar school teaching Mandarin to GCSE standard, 90% of my pupils achieved an A* at GCSE, and 100% achieved A*-B grades

I enhance our lessons using innovative educational technology such as Google Drive and Quizelet, and I have been using Zoom to teach lessons since lockdown. . I used PowerPoint, flash cards , coloured paper and useful internet resources to teach the pupils in my class.
