About Bree

I have keen interests in biochemistry and mechanisms of disease, but first started out loving both biology and chemistry during my time in secondary school. These subjects can be complex to understand and I hope to help more people not only learn the coursework for exams but in doing so gain lifelong knowledge that is applicable in the future, be it in university or in employment.

About the lesson

I am a masters student in UCD studying Clinical and Diagnostic Biochemistry, and a recent graduate from Trinity College Dublin with honours in Molecular Medicine. I have a passion for disease mechanisms, biochemistry, biology and chemistry. I achieved 99% (H1) in the Chemistry LC and a very high H1 in the Biology LC exams (alongside H1s in German and History). I am dedicated, outgoing and my experiences in employment and university have allowed me to be approachable and helpful to all those around me.

I have created study groups with classmates both in secondary school and university in order to discuss what ways prove most useful in understanding course material and to gain knowledge on the best ways to approach different exams. I believe the coordination with other students has given me vast knowledge on the different ways that people synthesize information presented to them and how they remember that for exam situations.

I am offering online grinds over zoom, focusing on understanding the mechanisms behind coursework rather than a rote-learning approach, so that a solidified knowledge is gained on coursework. Having just recently sat my own leaving cert (2021), I can provide an insight into different study techniques can aid in comprehending and understanding exam material and look at various approaches to different types of exam questions.
