I understand that starting to learn programming, or committing to lessons with a new tutor, can feel uncertain — you want to know the person teaching you is genuinely capable and takes it seriously. I bring a real, verifiable technical background: an MSc in Data Science from the University of Greenwich, and practical, hands-on experience applying Python, SQL, and PostgreSQL to real datasets and genuine business problems, not just textbook exercises.
I take tutoring seriously as a professional commitment. I prepare properly for every lesson, communicate clearly, and am reliable and punctual. My goal is straightforward: to help you build real, lasting understanding and genuine confidence in your own abilities — not just to get through material, but to make sure it actually sticks. Whether you are taking your first steps in programming or working toward a specific goal, you can expect patience, clarity, and a genuine investment in your progress.

About the lesson

I focus on learning by doing rather than passive theory. Each lesson is built around real, practical examples — writing actual code, querying real data, and solving genuine problems — because that's how I learnt most effectively myself, through hands-on personal projects rather than just reading documentation. I break concepts down step by step, check understanding as we go rather than rushing ahead, and adjust my explanations based on how each student learns best — some prefer working through examples first, others prefer understanding the "why" before the "how."
A typical lesson runs 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted depending on the topic and the student's pace — some sessions benefit from a shorter, focused format, especially for younger or newer learners.
I hold an MSc in Data Science from the University of Greenwich and have built practical, self-directed experience in Python, SQL, and PostgreSQL through real data analysis projects, including cleaning and analysing large real-world datasets to answer genuine business questions. While this is my first time tutoring formally, I bring strong technical grounding, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping each student build real, lasting understanding rather than surface-level memorisation.
My lessons suit a wide range of learners — complete beginners taking their first steps into programming, students preparing for exams or certifications, university students wanting extra support alongside coursework, and career-changers building practical data skills for a new direction. I adapt each lesson to the individual, whatever their starting point or goal.
