About Maddy
I am a current student at the Frost School for Music Education, and have been a drum major for three world-class drum corps within the past few years (BAC, the Cadets, and Santa Clara Vanguard). I have experience in both outdoor and indoor conducting, and have previously tutored AP Language and AP Literature to many students in the past - all of which have received a 5 on the exam! I have been playing clarinet for over a decade, and have worked on audition prep and practice techniques with many musicians over the years.

For AP Literature and Language, I provide comprehensive strategies and formulas to craft the perfect essay for the AP exams, as well as review student work with them together to figure out stronger and weaker characteristics in their writing. As for clarinet, I make sure to properly work through practice techniques implemented at the Frost School to ensure the best possible performance outcomes for the student. For conducting, I make sure to target the specific needs for the type of ensemble the student is in front of (marching, chamber, or orchestral), using proper resources (like the Malko techniques) to build fundamental fluency in everything needed.
