About Rachel
Hello! I’m Rachel, a music graduate based in Edinburgh with a big passion for sharing the joy of Music with others. I know learning an instrument or a new skill can feel a little daunting at first, so I make sure my lessons are welcoming, supportive, and tailored to each student’s pace. Music really is an amazing, secret language. It can be fascinating and open up a world of opportunities for study, expression and enjoyment. I especially love working with beginners and younger students, helping them build confidence step by step while keeping lessons fun and engaging. Whether it’s learning your very first song, exploring music you already enjoy, or discovering the basics of music theory, I’ll be there to guide and encourage you along the way.

I am a firm believer that in-person lessons are the optimal way to learn more and get the most out of the experience! I am however aware that online lessons are becoming more popular and are sometimes more convenient for students. Therefore I offer a slightly reduced rate for online sessions as my teaching style has to adapt slightly and technology although brilliant, isn't always perfect. Of course we'll work together and find the best way we can get the most of out of the sessions depending on your needs. Please note: I generally charge around 14p/mile when travelling.
