About Kevin
Over the years i have thought all levels and ages.
I have tought in several secondary schools and several music schools in the dublin and greater dublin area.
I have been a professional guitar teacher for most of my working
life and always tailored the lessons to each inividuals needs where over time the student has the musical knowledge and confidence to work on their own initiative.

For acoustic guitar i deal with rhythm and finger styles for the right hand,for this a knowledge of key and time signatures is important to fit the time and the key.for left hand i concentrate on scales , arpeggio,s chord progressions and how to incorporate them in to a song with bass runs or riffs between chords while understanding the music theory behind them.

classical guitar in my opinion is best done through learning to read notation and the grade system using one of the recognised colleges such as RIAM or london college of music etc.I teach groups and one to one and i have 25 years experience of teaching and preparing students for exams or performance situations.
