About Madeline
Precision is often boring. I prefer to treat the keys like a percussion instrument that breathes.
Having taught 83 students over 7 years of experience, I notice that the smallest adjustments create the biggest shifts. We tackle hand independence and ear training using the techniques I gathered while studying music. My focus includes sight reading and sight playing for intermediate learners and teens.
Returning learners often enjoy my blend of music theory and dynamics and expression. I promise to keep the tempo steady and the mood light during our time together.

Stiff fingers make music feel like a chore. Tension ruins flow. I introduce memorisation techniques to keep your mind sharp while your hands do the work. My Berklee training informs how I teach sight transposition to advanced learners.
