About Kirsten
I am a full-time musician living in Pittsburgh. I graduated in 2022 with a music degree from West Virginia University, where I was awarded a full scholarship for Piano Performance. I’ve been teaching piano lessons since I first started college and I love doing it! I’ve been playing piano for almost 20 years. I play many other instruments and sing, and I offer accompaniment to all instrumentalists/vocalists. My goal is to create a supportive and fun learning environment for my students where they can grow and thrive as musicians.

Every lesson I teach is carefully tailored to each individual student’s needs. I teach all styles of music (classical, jazz, pop, etc.) and try to meet all of my students where they are at in their musical journeys.
I start my first lesson with every student by getting to know them, what they are looking to get out of lessons, and their preferred learning styles. Whether you’re starting from square one with music, or you’d like to pick back up where you left off, I’d love to work with you!
