About Cara
Spending 13 years across Denver venues and studios means I have seen just about everything in the music scene. Honestly, my calendar stays split between gigging and teaching because I prefer keeping my hands busy. Musicians Institute gave me the formal training to refine my own craft before I started working with absolute beginners and hobbyists. Adult students appreciate that I keep things grounded in real-world application rather than just theory.
My approach is honest because I know how frustrating learning keys can be when you start late. I am the mentor who shows up at your door ready to work.

Setting up a keyboard in your living room allows me to check your posture and hand position in your natural environment. Sight playing feels far less daunting when we break down the dynamics and expression together in a relaxed space. I use my Diploma background to explain why certain pop and contemporary chords sound so good.
You get free access to my annotated practice notes after every lesson to keep your momentum going between our visits. Having written materials takes the guesswork out of your daily routine.
