Lily helped me improve tremendously as a chess player. As a teacher, she explains things clearly and succinctly, making it easy for me to understand. Other students Lily taught that I have met have never had trouble with Lily's teaching style. Additionally, she is very patient especially whenever I struggle and provides feedback in an encouraging manner instead of being extremely strict and discouraging like some teachers I have encountered. Lily is also an exciting teacher who has a large disposal of jokes to spare and manages to turn the learning material into enjoyable activities. Once, instead of showing me long, essay-like analyses of games from chess books, she sat me down and let us watch Queen's Gambit and would occasionally pause to give an analysis on the chess games featured. Under her teaching, I was able to improve my rating of 800 to 1200 in three months (although I admit I attended her classes at least twice a week). Overall, I just want to give Lily a big kudos for being an amazing teacher, so please do check her out.
