My name is Alex and I am a recent Oxford graduate and native Spanish speaker (born and raised in Madrid) with 6 years tutoring experience across all ages, levels and exam boards. I achieved the top grades at both GCSE and A-Level, as have many of my past students- many of them jumping up multiple grade boundaries from when we first started. To achieve this from my students, I first covered all the fundamental grammar which can be overlooked in bigger classrooms. From this point, I work to integrate as much Spanish as possible into the lessons, working on sheer exposure to the language which I have found strengthens speaking + listening skills. As well as this, with the student, we go through countless reading passages to work on comprehension, develop good exam technique and of course build a big bank of vocabulary.
