About Rachel
I graduated from the University of Minnesota with an English BA and a Creative Writing minor. I served as an officer of my University's Creative Writing Club, where I designed and led writing exercises as collaborative lessons during biweekly club meetings. I have worked for years as an afterschool tutor, an informal educator, and a coach. I have three pieces of original writing published in the literary magazine, 'The Tower.' My English Capstone and Honors Thesis was awarded the Mark David Clawson Award for Excellence. I also won the Anna Augusta Von Helmholtz Phelan Scholarship for Creative Writing.

My lessons are for everyone! I have worked with elementary, middle, high school, and college students on academic help. I am happy to center lessons on homework completion and revision, but prefer to craft and distribute personalized assignments. I put a heavy emphasis on rhetoric and argument building in essays, literary analysis, and creative writing.
