About Ruqayyah

Hi, my name is Ruqayyah, and I am a Native British English speaker from the UK. I have a Bachelor of Arts in History and I am a CELTA-qualified English Teacher.

I love to read, learn new things, go to the gym and connect with new people. I’ve had the opportunity to teach people from all parts of the world, and I love my job! My favourite part of teaching is seeing my students grow and achieve their goals.

I have always loved studying languages, and as someone who is learning a language myself, I understand how challenging it can be! I try to make my lessons fun and interactive so you can feel less stressed about reaching your goals. I create plenty of opportunities for you to practise using the language, because I believe the best way to learn is by doing.

My classroom is a supportive space, so you can feel comfortable asking questions and learning from your mistakes.

About the lesson

I have experience teaching English as a second language to students across the globe. I am also an English teacher to native English speakers who want to refine their communication skills.

Whether you are looking to improve your English for academic purposes, travel, work, as a hobby, or improve your everyday communication, I am happy to support you.

I support my students with speaking, reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and everyday conversations. My lessons are tailored around your needs. My aim is to give you the right tools so you can use English confidently and independently outside of the classroom.

My tutoring covers all levels, from beginner to advanced. Lessons are typically 1 hour, but I am happy to adapt the lesson to your needs.

My lessons are interactive, and I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I plan my lessons so you have plenty of opportunities to practise using the language, as I believe the best way to learn is by doing. As your learning needs change, I will support you every step of the way.
