About Elle
Hi, I’m Elle-Mae! I’m a native British English speaker from London and a Durham University graduate. After university, I worked at Microsoft, where strong communication was a central part of my role, before going on to work internationally in London, New York and Paris.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I understand that learning a new language can feel intimidating. My aim is to make lessons relaxed and enjoyable while helping you become genuinely confident using English in everyday life.
Whether you want to improve your conversational English, pronunciation, vocabulary or professional communication, I’ll tailor our lessons to your individual goals and interests. I particularly enjoy meeting people from different countries and creating lessons that feel natural, encouraging and relevant to you.
Most importantly, there is no pressure to be perfect, my lessons are a supportive space to practise, ask questions and build your confidence in English.

My lessons are friendly, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual goals. I focus on building confidence in spoken and written English through natural conversation, practical exercises and topics that genuinely interest the student.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I am happy to adapt the length and structure depending on your needs. We can focus on conversational English, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing, or professional English for work and interviews.
I am a native British English speaker and Durham University graduate, with professional experience at Microsoft and working internationally in London, New York and Paris. My background has given me extensive experience communicating with people from different cultures and adapting my communication style to different audiences.
I welcome adults and young learners of all levels, from beginners looking to build confidence to more advanced students wanting to improve their fluency or professional English. Above all, I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes and progressing at their own pace.
