About Lam
I grew up in Hong Kong, where Mandarin and Cantonese is my mother tongue. I moved to London and am now based in Mayfair, where I run my own business in the fashion industry. Being trilingual: Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, has shaped how I communicate and connect with people from very different backgrounds.
I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping others access a language and culture that is close to my heart. I understand what it feels like to navigate a new language in a foreign environment, and I bring that empathy into every lesson. My approach is patient, relaxed, and always adapted to the individual — I believe the best way to learn a language is through real conversation and genuine connection, not textbooks alone.

I am a native Cantonese speaker originally from Hong Kong, fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. My lessons are tailored to each student's goals — whether you are a complete beginner looking to learn basic conversational phrases, an intermediate learner wanting to improve fluency, or an advanced student aiming to refine your tones and pronunciation.
Lessons are conducted in a relaxed, conversational style with a focus on practical, everyday language that you can use immediately. I cover speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and adapt the pace and content to suit your individual needs and learning style.
Sessions are available online or in person in Mayfair, London, and typically last one hour. Whether you want to connect with China and Hong Kong culture, prepare for business conversations, or simply learn a new language, I am here to guide you every step of the way.
