About Ying
I'm a native Chinese speaker. My father is from the very south of China, while my mother is from Beijing in the north, which allows me to speak both Cantonese and Mandarin fluently.
My family background gives me a deeper understanding of the cultural differences across various regions in China. The Chinese language varies significantly from south to north and east to west, so my aim is to teach you practical Chinese rather than just grammatically correct Chinese.
I have four years of experience living and studying abroad. This journey has not only enabled me to master several European languages, such as French, Spanish, and a bit of Italian, but it has also broadened my perspective. I realized that learning a language is like mastering a tool; we use language to unlock a brand-new world.
My goal is to provide you with interesting and practical Chinese courses through a systematic learning process. I can also tailor the courses to meet your individual needs. I hope you find Chinese engaging, practical, and easy in my class. I look forward to meeting you soon!
