About Zhirui
I am a native Chinese speaker currently studying at UNSW, with experience living and studying in an English-speaking environment. This allows me to understand the challenges that non-native speakers face when learning Chinese and to explain concepts clearly in English when needed.
I am patient, friendly, and supportive, and I focus on creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident to speak and make progress. I believe that learning a language should be practical and enjoyable, not stressful.
I am passionate about helping students improve their Chinese skills, whether for school, travel, or personal interest, and I aim to make each lesson engaging and useful for real-life communication.

My Chinese lessons are tailored for beginners and students who want to improve their speaking, listening, and everyday communication skills. As a native Chinese speaker, I focus on helping students build confidence and speak naturally in real-life situations.
In each lesson, I combine vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple grammar with practical conversation practice. I use clear explanations in English when needed, making it easier for students with no background to understand and progress quickly.
Lessons are typically 1–2 hours long and can be conducted online or in person in Sydney. I teach beginners and school students, and I adjust the lesson pace based on each student’s level and goals.
