About Patricia
I am Irish, from Dublin, and a teacher of ESL and English literature who has taught in private schools and in private classes for adults, with groups of students from 25 to 12 to a class, also on an individual basis. The first school I worked at, a U.S. curriculum school in Santo Domingo, showed me the results of the SAT scores during my first year at the school; they were significantly higher since hiring me. I have a Masters degree in the Teaching of English as a Foreign or Second Language. I also have a Bachelor's in translation.

My teaching method is based on communicative competence and on integrated learning and teaching. I believe in integrating vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing into my lessons, in relevant settings or units for my students. I am a communicator and have the ability to make sure my students understand and learn using only English and sometimes using role play, visual and audio props.
