About Rafi
Hi there!
- Rafi, 31, English (Manchester), bilingual English/French.
- Joint honours degree - French and Philosophy - King's College London and Sciences Po, Paris (2011 - 2015).
- TEFL - Level 5 Advances Diploma (2023).
- iPGCE (International Postgraduate Certificate in Education) - University of Bath (in progress).
- English teacher at an International Primary School / Secondary School in Paris (2018 - present).
In my spare time, I'm a player and social secretary at the British Rugby Club of Paris. I also enjoy writing - namely novels and screenplays - as well as performing at spoken-word and stand-up comedy nights. I spend a lot of time at the concerts of my favourite artists, or in the kitchen cooking up my favourite recipes.

To learn a language, you need to practise it. You need to use it, experiment with it, tackle it in different contexts and see how it fits into everyday life. That's why my lessons are based principally on oral practice, done in a fun and educational way.
My primary aim is to help you build your confidence. Once you've got that confidence, the process of learning becomes a whole lot easier. That's why I offer the first lesson free: so that I can get to know you on a personal level. This way I can find out about your goals, strengths and weaknesses, and tailor my lessons to suit each individual.
For the more formal aspects of writing, listening and speaking, I also have experience preparing students to pass their brevet, baccalauréat, TOEIC, IELTS, TOEFL, CAE, FCE, CPE, as well as a wide range of their personal and professional projects.
