About Sarah

I live in London with my family, including my two teenagers and four cats, so life is always lively and certainly full of conversation. Our home is in Brixton which is a culturally diverse and vibrant area known for its excellent food and music scene.

I first taught English as a Foreign Language during summer holidays at university, and that early experience sparked a lasting passion for language and communication. I am naturally curious and a lifelong learner, with a deep interest in how people express themselves and connect across cultures.

Alongside teaching, I am a qualified yoga teacher, a home educator to my children, and currently training as a psychotherapist. These experiences have strengthened my ability to listen carefully, adapt to individual needs, and create a supportive, encouraging learning environment. I genuinely enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about their perspectives. I understand that learning a language can feel both exciting and challenging, and I aim to make the process engaging, practical, and confidence-building.

My approach is relaxed, supportive, and student-centred. I provide gentle correction, practical feedback, and plenty of opportunities to practise speaking in a natural way. I also incorporate real-life scenarios, role play, and discussion to help you feel comfortable using English in everyday situations. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your skills, my aim is to help you feel confident, capable, and at ease with the language. I look forward to meeting you and supporting your English learning journey.
