About Aimee
Hi, I’m Aimee! As a passionate reader with a deep love for English literature, I’ve always been fascinated by how story-telling and language bring people together. Outside of tutoring, I’m currently on my own journey learning Mandarin. Understanding a little bit of Chinese gives me great empathy for my students—I truly get how it feels to navigate a completely different language and culture!
My teaching focuses on the human side of communication: real British conversation. I help international students and professionals decode the secret language of UK politeness, subtle sarcasm, and everyday idioms. If you want to understand local humour, speak with natural rhythm, or simply chat about books and culture in a supportive, low-pressure environment, I’d love to work with you!

Hi! I'm Aimee, a native British speaker helping international students and professionals master the subtle art of real British conversation.
Teaching Methodology: My lessons focus on practical, scenario-based speaking rather than dry grammar drills. We break down authentic dialogues, decode British sarcasm, and practise real-life roleplay so you build immediate confidence in social situations.
Lesson Length: Standard sessions are 60 minutes long, providing the ideal balance of focused instruction and interactive conversational practice.
Who Lessons Are For: Intermediate to advanced English learners (aged 16+)—particularly Chinese university students, expats, and professionals living in or preparing to move to the UK who want to sound natural and understand local humour.
Experience & Approach: Passionate about cross-cultural communication, I provide a patient, zero-judgement space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn the cultural context behind how British people actually talk.
