About Erika

I am a woman in my upper 30s who has lived most all of my life in various parts of New York state. I have a bachelors degree in Educational Psychology and Masters Degree in Business Organizational Management. I am also fully educationally certified to teach English as a second language through TESOL and TEFL international teaching certifications. I have over 8 years of combined teaching experience with children of all ages. I have spent the last 3 years exclusively teaching over the computer to ESL students ages 5-18 with assorted companies mostly in Asia. Personally I enjoy not only spending time with my family but many literary arts such as reading, and writing. I am even a published young adult fiction author whose books can be found through sites such as Amazon. I enjoy the outdoors and other arts such as drawing, painting, and photography. Life is adventure that is sometimes complex and not as neat as we would always like it to be, and that is how the English language is as well. We would like the English language to be neat and easy but in many cases there are exceptions and complex notions that make it untidy and less neat. When we truly master speaking, writing, and reading English is when we can appreciate the intricacies of its uniqueness.

About the lesson

I am a native English speaking American from the Northeast. I have a masters degree and more than 8 years of varied teaching experience with various ages of students. I like all lessons to be fun, engaging and interactive while still learning a great deal of conversational, written, grammar, and other English Language Arts. I have worked with students from age 5 through 18 with various previous English experience from minimal English to high schoolers in America who are looking for extra English support for papers, college prep, etc. I would love to tutor you or your children to get better grades in school and help figure out this strange language we all call English.
