About Nancy
I am a teacher and native fluent Spanish Speaker. I started as a Speech and Language Specialists' Assistant in Los Angeles, CA from 1995-1999. Once I received my BA degree in Communicative Disorders (aka Speech Therapy) in 1999 at Cal State Northridge (CSUN), I continued my post grad education in Mild to Moderate Learning Disabilities Teaching Credential. I have always loved speaking, reading and writing in my native home language Spanish. I taught as a K-12 full time Special Education teacher in California since 2001.

My teaching method is to begin from my students' background knowledge first, then build on it step by step using clear concise instruction as often as necessary until mastery is accomplished by the individual student. Patience and repetition using multi modality techniques is key to all successful learning. Mixing things up to maintain student interest is also fundamental for good progress in learning.
