About Baptiste

I do not have professional experience in teaching per se, but I have been teaching my 2 flatmates for 4 years and they are now capable of speaking French to a solid conversational level, one of them is going to work in Paris this year. They both took French A-level and are now fluent and can read French. Furthermore, they gained extensive knowledge of French literature and music. The knowledge I provide is more than academic: it will allow the student to speak and understand the language, but also to acquire a good knowledge of French culture (History, adages, etymology) Finally, the student would ideally understand the dynamics and working of the French language both grammatically and stylistically.

About the lesson

I am a native French speaker who moved to London 5 years ago to study. I have a passion for French literature, poetry and old songs which I use to teach French around me.
I try to use a large variety of learning material as I remember learning English through songs and movies; the use of creativity enhances learning and provides better knowledge on the long-term than textbooks.
As a tutor, my goal is to spark interest and desire to learn by making learning fun and support the daily use of the language. Homework is not systematic but is focused on the application of a lesson rather than the learning itself.
I love my language and enjoy all and any opportunity to share and spread this passion.
