About Prudence
I've got 2 master's degrees. One in Japanese Language and Business and one in teaching French as a foreign language. During my studies, I had the opportunity to have a few internships in Primary School (Kindergarten and Elementary) and to be a Nanny for children aged between 9 months and 12 years for more than 7 years, especially for families with dual nationality. I really enjoyed helping them with their homework. I was lucky enough to be able to do my 3rd year of my bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language and Culture in Japan and to give lessons in French as a foreign language for a year in a small language school located in Shizuoka. This change of scenery gave me the chance to mature and open up to the international world. This experience was an opportunity for me to confirm the professional path towards which I wanted to orientate myself: the teaching profession. After my studies I worked as a French Teacher in Australia, Canada and the U.K.

I am a French Teacher and French is my first language. I have a Master's degree in French as a foreign language, I give lessons for children (3 to 15) and adults. In a caring environment, I took into account the difficulties of my students and their needs. Indeed, I deeply believe that in order to teach, it is important not to neglect the psychoaffective dimension and to create a space where the learner feels confident. Indeed when students are in a workspace where they feel safe, it makes it easier to speak up. I support the students in understanding the lessons. Which means having the ability to motivate students, to make sense of the subject matter transmitted, but also to identify the times when to reach out so that they can understand and deduce the teaching point that the teacher wishes to transmit. Also, I am a DELF, TCF and TEF examiner. I prepare the students who want to pass these exams. The lessons are aimed at all types of audiences: children, beginners, middle school and high school students, but also adults who wish to improve their French. I adapt to requests, target objectives and support my students in their requests. I will offer you some authentic supports (audio / text) in order to understand some grammar points and enrich your vocabulary. We will also be able to see your own supports together!
