About Emily
I study English law and French law, meaning I study the law of France in French. I studied French through GCSE and A-Level, achieving an A* and I want to share my secrets!
My mum is French and I have spent a lot of time with my family in Paris and in the Alps. In my gap year before uni, I worked as a nanny for a French family in the French Caribbean. This was a great experience to experience how culturally broad French is. This also gave me teaching and tutoring experience as I had to teach the children English and help them with their homework, including helping a young child learn to read and write in French.
Even though I grew up speaking French with my family, I still found parts of learning languages hard in school, especially grammar!
I know how a good language teacher can make a massive difference. I want to make languages accessible and engaging, and show you that with the right teaching, anyone can learn a language!
I also believe that languages can be engaging for anyone, we can just talk about your interests and hobbies!
