About Malika

I’m a native French speaker and I have always enjoyed sharing my language and helping people feel more comfortable using it.
My background is quite diverse. I have studied French (Hypokhâgne,) law, economics and management at university level, and I have spent several years working in project management, housing and social policies. Communication is a big part of my professional life: explaining things clearly, writing, presenting ideas and adapting the way I communicate depending on the person in front of me.
That is also how I approach teaching.
I don’t expect my students to speak perfect French. Actually, making mistakes is completely normal, and sometimes it is the best way to learn. I will correct you when necessary, explain things simply and help you find expressions that sound more natural.
As a native speaker, I can help you with the French you learn in books, but also with the French people actually speak every day. We can work on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, or focus on professional French if you need it for work, an interview, a presentation or written communication.
I’m patient and easy to talk to, but I also take your goals seriously. I want our lessons to be useful, enjoyable and adapted to what you really need.
So whether you are just starting French or already speak it and simply want to feel more confident, you are very welcome in my lessons.

About the lesson

I believe that the best way to learn French is simply to use it as much as possible. Of course, grammar and vocabulary are important, but my main goal is to help my students feel comfortable speaking and expressing themselves.
I will adapt my lessons to each student because I think everyone learns differently and, most importantly, everyone has different reasons for learning French. Some people need French for work, others for traveling, studying or simply because they enjoy the language.
During a typical lesson, we will usually start with a conversation. It can be about your week, something you have seen or read, or a topic that interests you. From there, we can work on vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar or expressions that French speakers actually use in everyday life.
I prefer using real situations rather than relying only on traditional exercises. We can work with articles, videos, role plays, professional situations or simply have a conversation and use it as a starting point for the lesson.
My professional and academic background also means that I am comfortable working with students who need French in a professional environment. I can help with job interviews, meetings, presentations, written communication or simply feeling more confident when speaking French at work.
My lessons are mainly for teenagers and adults, from beginner to advanced level. They are also suitable for people who want to speak more naturally, improve their pronunciation, expand their vocabulary or become more confident in French.
And don't worry about making mistakes! I actually expect them. They are part of learning a language, and they often give us the best opportunities to improve.
My goal is not to make you speak "perfect" French. It is to help you speak French with more confidence, independence and ease.
