About Marie

I was born in Belgium (Brussels) and grew up in a french speaking family. I spoke a bit of Flemish and is fluent in English.

In 2013 I graduated from IHECS in Communication, media, lifelong learning. Through my Bachelor and Master Degrees, classes were in French, English and Dutch.
After graduating, I decided to study acting in London and graduated in 2014 from the Bridge Theatre Training Company.

While I am not busy acting and auditioning, I am a cover supervisor and teaching assistant in North London schools. As such, I am familiar with what is being taught. I realise that many students struggle with another language due to a lack of support or motivation and that's why I am interested in tutoring. I believe everyone can be good at something if they are given the oppportunity and the time.
I am friendly and very patient. When I am off I like long walks and working out at the gym. I am also a huge Marvel, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Witcher and Cobra Kai Fan.
As a Belgian, I am obviously a chocolate lover.

About the lesson

Learning a new language can be challenging and scary but I believe it can be fun and stress-free.

For your first lesson, I take notes regarding your needs, your goals and will have a basic French conversation to see where you are at. From there, I can tailor my lesson and adapt it to your needs and interests.

I learned English through songs, films and books. So I will use a lot of those media to help you in French. I also believe repetition is a key to success.

Very important : It is a Judgement Free Zone.
Everyone is different and has a different pace. Please never be scared to ask questions or to repeat something.
