About Dounia
I spent 10 years in a francophone school, learning all subjects in French and am born to French-speaking parents. This has really taught me the value of being bilingual as it gives access to so many opportunities. Tutoring in French is very important to me because it's often inaccessible in an English majority city like Toronto. I've been tutoring my younger brother ever since he started attending francophone school, and it has really built my skills as I've learnt to be more patient, attentive and teach effectively.

My tutoring services are for grade 1 to 10 students taking a French class in school or for those who are enrolled in a French Language Program (French Immersion, French Extended, Francophone School). I assist with homework, teach pronunciation and reading, and give personalized lessons based on aspects that students are struggling with in school. Being a grade 12 student allows me to have a closer connection with my tutees, and help boost their confidence in French. I give them all the tools necessary for them to succeed in school and become fluent later on.

She had the ability of captivating students attention and making them understand in various different ways.
A few months ago Dounia tutored my little brother who’s in 7th grade. He normally doesn’t listen to anyone and has bad attention habits but she managed to teach him well and get his grade up. They also got along pretty well and she was very friendly which helps while teaching antisocial kids.
