About Lorian
I am a bilingual French and English tutor with a strong academic foundation and a deep cultural understanding of the French language. I was formally educated from Grade 0 to Grade 12 at Lycée Jules Verne in Johannesburg, where I developed a solid grasp of French language structure, communication, and cultural context.
Although I was born in South Africa, I was raised as a French Belgian, which allows me to offer students more than just textbook French. I bring real-world language exposure and cultural insight into my lessons, helping students understand not only how the language works, but why it is used the way it is.
I pride myself on being professional, reliable, and genuinely invested in my students’ progress. I approach tutoring with patience and adaptability, ensuring each student feels supported, confident, and encouraged as they learn. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and steadily improving their skills.

My approach to private tutoring is relaxed, adaptable, and student-centred. I’m not a rigid or overly formal teacher, and I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all methodology.
