About Abigail
I was born and raised in France and I am from what I consider to be one of the loveliest regions in the country : the Champagne region. I have many fond memories of long walks in the vineyards with my grandparents and late summer evenings out on the terrace listening to the crickets.
I moved to the Paris region when I was 15 and went to secondary school there, where I studied literature and philosophy, as well as geography, history and geopolitics.
After the end of secondary school, I took a year out and spent a large portion of that year preparing students for the French literature exam that is part of the French Baccalauréat.

I was born and raised in France and as such I am completely bilingual in English and French. Having been schooled in France, I have extensive knowledge of the French language, culture and literature and can transmit this knowledge in a comprehensive and straightforward way.
I like to open lessons with a little bit of discussion time in French. These first 5 minutes helps the student feel more at ease speaking in a foreign language as well as gives me a first glance at the student's level of conversionality and any potential weak points we can then work on together. I tailor each session (about one hour) to suit the student's needs and learning style.
I have been tutoring for three years, teaching French literature in France to prepare for exams.
I tutor for every level from primary school to A levels with a focus on exam years (GCSE and A level)

Deadly! Abigail was just so good in many ways but, in particular, she took time to understand what I wanted to achieve, suggested lesson formats to fit and was flexible on the timing of those lessons. She was also unfailingly helpful and enthusiastic despite my poor linguistic performance! I would unhesitatingly recommend her.
