About Kate
Hi! I’m Kate, a native French speaker currently studying Interior Design. I achieved 92% in my matric French exam and have always enjoyed languages, poetry, communication, and helping others understand French more easily.
I’m fluent in French and English, and I also speak Lingala. I have experience with French-English translation and enjoy helping others become more comfortable and confident when using French.
As a tutor, I’m patient, friendly, and understanding. I know that learning a new language can feel intimidating, so I aim to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, practise freely, and learn from their mistakes.
Whether you’re starting French from scratch, studying it at school, or simply want to improve your conversational skills, I’d love to help you make progress and enjoy learning French along the way!

My lessons are relaxed, practical, and adapted to each student’s goals and level. As a native French speaker, I focus on helping beginners and intermediate learners become more confident in speaking and everyday conversation, while also supporting students with schoolwork, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and exam preparation.
I can teach in both French and English, making lessons accessible even if you are just starting to learn French. A typical lesson may include conversation practice, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and interactive exercises. I encourage students to speak as much as possible and create a comfortable environment where making mistakes is simply part of learning.
My goal is not only to help you understand French, but to help you feel confident using it in real conversations.
